Kozhikode or Calicut is situated along the Southwestern coast of the Arabia sea bordering of Kerala. The Place is historically famous as the Portuguese led by Vassco Da Gama first landed in India ,at Kappad near Kuzhikode in 1498 AD.Due to its nearness to the sea, the place has a hot and humid climate. Summer starts from March and continues until May. It is the third largest city in Kerala. Kozhikode ranked as the second best city in India to reside in.
